“Blazing Saddles” is a satirical western comedy starring Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder and was directed by Mel Brooks. The Count Basie Orchestra can be seen playing “April in Paris” in the desert of the Wild West as one of the films many deliberate anachronisms. Blazing Saddles was released in 1974 by Warner Bros. Pictures and was nominated for three Academy Awards.
